Shortly after opening the business, Mary realized a need for a home staging business in the greater Houston area. Mary trained to be a home stager by attending the Accredited Staging Professional Masters Course. Each team member at Simple Elegance is required to be a accredited staging professional.

Mary Scalli is the President & CEO of North Houston Blinds, LLC dba Simple Elegance which specializes in window treatments, shutters, blinds, interior decorating services and home staging. She is an Accredited Staging Professional Master, a Luxury Staging Specialist& Certified Luxury Home Staging Specialist, Senior Relocation Specialist and Buyer Trends Specialist, Certified Confident Color Consultant, Southern Regional Director of IAHSP (International Association of Home Staging Professionals), Certified ASP® Class Trainer, and a Board Member of the International Association of Home Stagers. She is dedicated to excellent customer service and making a positive difference in each of her clients' and team member's lives.
In 2015, Mary co-authored Home Staging by the Book with Jana Uselton, Founder of HSRA.
She is very involved in her community through her son's activities, church, Junior League of the Woodlands, The Greater Houston Chapter of International Association of Home Staging Professionals, WCR, a Featured Speaker at the Woodlands & Cy-Fair Home & Garden Shows, HSRA Summit, IAHSP Conference, the Recognized Professional Stager for Champions School of Real Estate's CHMS class in Houston, and a featured guest multiple times on The Rat Pack Real Estate Radio Show and on Successful Living with Bill Knapik. She has been recognized by HSRA as one of the Top 5 Home Stagers, Top 10 Professional Home Staging Company of the Year, IAHSP Top Vacant Stage, IAHSP Top Staging Company and as 2015 Affiliate of the Year by WCR, Great Northwest Chapter.
Jessica Hoffman joined Simple Elegance in 2015 as Mary's Assistant. She came at a time when we were transitioning into our new warehouse location and she planned the move and organized our systems and inventory. Today she is our Warehouse Manager in charge of managing our inventory, our Customer Relations Management Software, and insuring all stages are scheduled. She also ensures all inventory needs are delivered on a timely basis for the Stagers® to stage® with, scheduling and communicating all inventory needs.
Jessica obtained her ASP accreditation early in 2016 and also stages® many of our properties. She previously worked in the Staging & Interior Decorating business for other companies before moving to Texas. She is a proud mom of 2 and she is married to her best friend.

Angela Kratt is the Hunter Douglas Certified Consultant for Simple Elegance. She also assists with interior decorating and staging® projects. Providing a high level of customer service has always been one of Angela's top goals throughout her career. Angela was born and raised in Alabama. She has a major in Interior Environments and a minor in Business from Auburn University. She continued her education by completing a Certified Home Staging® Training Program and is an Accredited Staging® Professional, ASP ®. With over 20 years of design and project management experience, Angela has had the opportunity to manage projects for decorating firms, office furniture dealerships, a model home staging company, and a high end outdoor furniture store. Angela is married and a mom of 2 boys. The Kratts moved to The Woodlands in 2010 from Mobile, AL, for a new opportunity with her husband's employer, Chevron. Angela joined the Simple Elegance team in 2015.

Lexi Berger is the Interior Designer for Simple Elegance. Lexi Berger joined the Simple Elegance team in February of 2017 as their in-house Interior Designer. Originally from the Midwest, she received her Master's of Science: Interior and Environmental Design Degree from the CIDA Accredited Illinois State University. After moving to Texas, she worked at a previous design firm for 2 years as their Autocad Specialist focusing primarily on creating custom cabinet designs for luxury homes. She continues to expand her knowledge in the field through becoming an Allied Member of ASID as well as a 2017 Certified Hunter Douglas Consultant. She recently achieved her Accredited Staging® Professional, ASP ® certification and loves using her design background in both the design and home staging fields. She loves being part of such an amazing team of hard-workers who go above and beyond to serve their clients sacrificially. As a designer, she aspires to develop creative design solutions that not only represent the desired style but also the needs of her clients. It is her mission to create design that is conceptually unique, functionally efficient, and possesses a high standard of quality. Lexi is married to her wonderful husband Alex and is the proud momma of their son, Atticus. They love spending time with their church family at Northside Christian Church and enjoy investing in the high school student ministry.
Karen Budde is the Staging Sales Representative for Simple Elegance. She joined the Simple Elegance Team in June of 2016 after attaining her Accredited Staging® Professional, ASP ® certification in March of 2106. Karen was born and raised in upstate New York and graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in Fine Arts and Art History. She worked as an interior decorator at Ethan Allen for several years before moving to New Jersey with her husband's job at ExxonMobil. Karen has been married to her wonderful husband, Tom for 28 years and is the proud mom of three adult children and two dogs. Since she's always on the go, the next two moves with Tom's job were only the beginning of new adventures. They arrived in Houston in 2010 and Karen found many opportunities to volunteer through their church and school activities. Karen loves to travel, meet new people, have a positive outlook on life and serve in the community. Through Trinity Episcopal Church, she has worked with Lord of the Streets, to plan menus, cook and serve hot meals for 50 since 2011.She especially enjoyed her time serving as the leader of the "Fairy Guardmothers" during her daughter's high school years on the TWHS color guard team. Karen was able to use her creative talents to design and sew fabulous stadium seats and an array of fun projects for the team to enjoy, keeping team spirits high.Karen is enthusiastic about helping her client's achieve their goals, and is dedicated to strong customer service, hard work and communication.
